KaiCF - Micron Cartridge Filter

KaiCF cartridge is constructed of thermally bonded polypropylene microfibers to ensure high efficiency. The filter incorporates a rigid polypropylene center core for increased collapse strength and durability. This thermal bonded micro-fiber construction has minimal fiber release, consistent flow rate and superior filtration performance. It is also not brittle or prone to breakage problems like resin-bonded cartridges. Unique micro-grooves provide added surface area. The recommended temperature limit of 40° F to 175° F allows it to be used in many hot water applications.


The feed water derived from springs, bore wells and any other source contains impurities of various kinds. Arvind KaiGO’s Micron Cartridge Filters are designed to address this problem. Micron cartridge filtration is a type of filtration process that removes contaminants from a fluid (liquid or gas) using a passage through a microporous membrane.

Manufactured using top-class raw materials, our micron cartridges are composed of extremely fine microfibers spun into a multi-layer inert filter medium with a rigid polypropylene core and an outer protective sleeve. Micron Cartridge Filter filters the water to the designated micron rating ranging from 1 micron to 50 microns.

The micron cartridge filter is mainly used in water treatment like:

  • Pre-filtration units in Reverse Osmosis Plants
  • Sediment filtration
  • Pre-filtration and for final filtration units in Packaged Drinking Water Plants
  • Industrial process water filtration
  • Pre and post-filtration units in ultraviolet-based drinking water plants

Apart from water treatment industries, it is also used for filtration in the following industries:

  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Liquor production
  • Dyes and textiles

In heavier contamination applications, cartridges are used as final polishing filters. Our filters are available in spun and wound type construction. Wound cartridge filters are the most common type of depth filter. They are made of natural and synthetic yarns, wound around a central tube.


KaiGO’s micron cartridge filters are free of surfactants, binders and adhesives. The graded pore structure of the media ensures high dirt holding capacity and excellent particle retention. Our filters are made with high-quality, 100% polypropylene to ensure that they are compatible with a wide range of chemicals, have optimized porosity, with more collapse strength, and are durable. Other excellent features of our KaiCF cartridge are:

  • Polypropylene fiber and a polypropylene core
  • The maximum operating temperature can go up to 1750F
  • Available in various sizes
  • Does not leave an after taste, odour or colour in the liquid being filtered

The micron-size ratings can be “Nominal” or “Absolute”. When the rating is nominal, the filter cartridge removes up to 95% of the particles of that micron size. When it is absolute, the filter will remove 99% of the particles.
